The beginning stages of a relationship can be exciting and intense. If all goes well, what primarily begins as lust eventually develops into a deep sense of love. In the early stage of a relationship, when the sex hormones are raging, lust can fool you with blinders. You see what you want to see, rather than seeing the real person you're dating, flaws and all.

Lust Vs. Love
Lust: You're totally focused on a person's looks and body.
Love: You see your partner beyond their looks and are more attracted to their character.
Lust: Sex trumps all.
Love: You enjoy being around each other, even without having sex.
Lust: Your can't see your partner's flaws.
Love: You can see your partner's flaws and love them, flaws and all.
Lust: You say what your partner wants to hear.
Love: You feel comfortable speaking your truth.
Lust: Silence is awkward.
Love: Silence is comfortable.
Lust: You don't feel comfortable including your partner in big life decisions.
Love: You are motivated to be a better person for your partner and want to include them in everything.
Lust: You only notice the big things.
Love: You notice the little things.
